Hi there and thank you for joining me for this time of Healing and Deliverance Tool. It's a podcast series where I share some divine truths that can help bring deliverance from demonic oppressions, and I am your host, dr Gilbert Mochia. And thank you again for joining me the last time we were studying at a generational curse. If there's a generational curse operating in somebody's life, then once the demons discover that, that gives them a legal right to get in and oppress, they can call that their home, because they're using spiritual laws to gain the right to oppress. So let's look today at this second route or second gate or door that demons use to gain legal right into people's lives. And what is this second route? It is involvement or indulging in occultic practices. Indulging in occultic practices Now, what is occult? What is occult? Let's start with the definition there and then I will mention I will go through a number. It's actually a list of many, many areas that people can get involved. Some of them are subtle and you may have gotten involved and that may have exposed you or created an avenue which the enemy can exploit. So I'll mention a number of them. There are actually many about 28 of them, so we will go in first, without getting too much details. The idea is that you are armed with information, so first of all, let's define what is occult. The idea is that you are armed with information, so first of all, let's define what is occult. Now, occult, it's a broad category of beliefs and practices and phenomena that invoke and rely on supernatural powers of the kingdom of darkness. This is just a loose, working definition. You can go to a dictionary definition, but it's a working definition. I said it is a broad category of beliefs, practices and phenomena that invoke and rely on supernatural powers of the kingdom of darkness, and it includes all forms of witchcraft, divination, magic, mysticism and their spells. All right, now God has clearly warned his people. We see this in the Bible, particularly when the children of Israel were about to enter as God's's people into the promised land, he warned them against getting involved in occultic practices of the people of the land where they were going to dispossess them and live there. So let's begin there, so that we establish why occultism can become a source or a channel for the enemy to exploit. And I will go with you to Deuteronomy 18, 9-14.

Deuteronomy, chapter 18, verse 9 through 14, listen as I read how Moses was instructing God's people as they entered into the land which the Lord, your God, is giving you. You shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or anyone who practices witchcraft or soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. Verse 12, for all who do these things are an abomination to the Lord and because of these abominations, the Lord, your God, drives them out from before you. You shall be blameless before the Lord, your God, for these nations which you will dispossess listened to soothsayers and diviners, but as for you, the Lord your God has not appointed such for you. Listen to those very strong words, very strong warnings that God was giving to his own people. He knew what the people of the land, the Canaanites, the Kushites, the Perizzites and all the nations that they were going to dispossess, what they were practicing and God clearly mentions them that you shall not be giving your children to pass through the fire. That was human sacrifice of those nations, or being involved in witchcraft or sorceries or soothsaying, or interpreting omens or conjuring up spells or seeking after mediums and spirits and diviners.

And then he uses very strong words. He says for all verse 12, for all who do these things are an abomination to the Lord, are an abomination to the Lord. That's a very strong word. That's a very strong word. It's one of the strongest words that shows God's displeasure and hatred. When you say this is an abomination, that is something that, like God looks at it and his spirit, he is revulsed. God hates it with a passion. And so God says witchcraft, sorceries, mediums, soothsaying divinations, omens, spells and all these forms are abomination. And look at what he says verse 13, that you shall be blameless before the Lord, your God, for these nations which you will dispossess. Listen to soothayers and diviners. Listen to soothayers and diviners. But as for you, god's people, the Lord, your God, has not appointed such Beloved. Those are strong words, strong words and strong warning from the Lord. And God says he has not appointed such to be for God's people.

Now, where, unfortunately, satan masquerades as an angel of light, he comes in as an angel of light in the witchcraft and soothsaying and divinations have found their way into the church. I say that again Soothsaying divinations have found themselves. They have found their way into the church. Satan has come in in a very subtle way. He has invaded the church and there's a lot of witchcraft, there's a lot of soothsaying, there's a lot of witchcraft, there's a lot of suthek, there's a lot of divination that is going on in the church and the people of God are falling into this because of the desire for the miraculous, the longing for the supernatural. They're longing for the supernatural and so we are following this and falling into it without even questioning, you know, because the names that are being used there.
Speaker 1:
People are calling themselves prophets when in fact they're just diviners. You know, people are calling themselves prophets and yet they're just soothsayers. Now you have to understand. I am not saying there are no prophets. No, we do have prophets of god. We do have apostles of christ. We do have apostles of Christ. We do have men and women of God whom God has and masquerading as diviners, as prophets.
Speaker 1:
I'm sorry, but what they are? They're really just diviners. They're really just soothsayers. They're really just people who want to speak good. How do we know them? Jesus already told us you shall know them by their fruits. Right, say. Many people shall come in the last day and they shall claim and say we prophesied in your name, we healed the sick, we cast out demons in your name, but Jesus says away from me. He will say away from me, you, workers of iniquity. That's in Matthew 7, again from verse 21. You can go and read there. So what are we saying? We have to, and let's take warning, even those of us who God has lifted as men of God and bring in an unclean spirit, an unclean spirit which begins to exploit the gift of God. And so you find what is coming out is unclean.
Speaker 1:
Look at some of the prophecies that we get in the church, those who claim to be prophets of God. You see, all that is happening is telling people good things. And believers are flocking into this. They want to be told good things, just good things. Prophetic meetings that we call prophetic meetings as people just seeking to hear a good word, to be told a good word. But that's not what prophets of old were. The prophets of old, you read your Bible, go study when they were proclaiming the word of God. Of course God will speak good. Sometimes God will come with a word of judgment, a word of warning to the people. Many, many prophets were killed. You see, many prophets were killed because they carried the word of God and that word of God sometimes was speaking about judgment.
Speaker 1:
If you are a prophet of God, if you are a prophet of God, but all that you are giving is just giving people the words that they want to hear. Remember, we were told in the last days, people will have itching ears. They'll have itching ears and will amass for themselves prophets or preachers who will tell them what they want to hear. We have to be very careful. You are a prophet, you are an apostle. Listen to hear. We have to be very careful. You are a prophet, you are an apostle. Listen to God and sometimes God will give you a word of warning to the people. God will give you a word, a revelation about somebody that you need to tell them what God is saying. They may not like it, but they will be helped once they realize God has seen what they're being involved in and God is giving the warning.

It's just something that I put up there, because I have read here in verse 14, where God is saying for these nations which you will dispossess, listen to soothayers and diviners, but as for you, the Lord, your God, has not appointed such for you. God is accusing those nations that are going to be dispossessed as nations that listened to diviners and soothayers. Can that be said about us in the church today, that we are listening to diviners? We are listening to people who just want to tell us and pump us with the good words, high-sounding words, which may not necessarily be from God. Of course, god will give us good words, but a prophetic word is not always a good word. Okay, so that's something that I put in there, but anyway, we are looking at occultic practices. So let's get in and list these occultic practices.
Speaker 1:
When you are involved in some form of magic, anything that is occultic in nature, that is something demons really love. They really love. They really love. They have a right to go before God. You know how Satan goes and say he asks for permission. Okay, he asks for permission to come in. He can't come in at will and God has given his word. God is bound to honor his own word, the word that he has spoken. He keeps his word. God looks upon his word to perform it. So if you get yourself involved in some occult practices, knowing or unknowingly, or maybe you're involved in the past, then you have to take the necessary steps to get delivered or to severe, to cut off those legal rights from the enemy. Remember what we were saying Paul says we should not be ignorant of the devices of the enemy, not be ignorant of the devices of the enemy.

So let's go in now and name some of these occultic practices. I'll just list them. You can go and do a further study because there are many who will not be able to go. It's just to give you that information that you need. So number one is amulets. These are arranged in alphabetic order, so it doesn't mean it's the strongest or anything, but they're just arranged. I got them in my study and reading, just given in alphabetic order. That way we can follow down. So we start with A.
Speaker 1:
Number one is amulets. Amulets what are amulets? These are objects that are made and carried and are believed to be endured with special powers to protect or bring good fortune. Right Fortune diviners are actually fortune tellers. People want to be told fortune. But amulets you know people either you have a bangle that you believe that this will bring fortune, or it's a ring or anything that you're carrying. So it can be an object. It can be something that you're carrying around you're given, supposed to be carried around to attract good fortune, those. If you have any of that, that gives the enemy legal rights to oppress you. Or if you have planted it in the home or you placed it in your room or wherever in your bedroom or wherever you believe it has some legal power, that is an abomination to the Lord.

Number two astrology Astrology. What is astrology? Maybe we're all familiar, but it is really divinatory practices that predict using positions of celestial objects like stars. That's astrology, or the study of stars to give people direction. Now we are led and directed by the Holy Spirit, not by the stars, the formation of stars, and there are people, even Christians. There are Christians who love astrology. Astrology has come. If you are one of them who likes to read stars and I'll mention it down there when we come to age but you want to you know you are a star and you're following it religiously. You know there a star and you're following it religiously. You know the people these days. You know in the past we used to go to newspapers to read our stars. What is my star saying, studying what are the astrologers? But now people have advanced. We may not go to the newspapers much, but they are. They are apps, their apps in our phones. Right, you can receive messages, you can subscribe their websites, astrology websites, astrology apps there's all kinds of things that you can subscribe to and be sent as a way of warning or direction. When you do that, if you are subscribed to any of those, you need to cut that and you need to confess that as sin and be able to be released and lock that door against the enemy. So astrology is number two.

Number three divination. We have already talked about that. Diviners are fortune tellers. You shall not have diviners. Diviners are fortune tellers. We seek after them. You know people are all looking. I'm looking for a word, I want to hear a word. Well, it's good to have a word from the Lord, but that anger can lead you to people who are just fortune tellers. They just speak to you words of divination. They're diviners, all right. So divination is an abomination to the Lord. Next one is four. Number four dosing. Dosing D-O-W-S-I-N-G.

Some of these you may not be familiar with, but it's really water watching. It may not be practiced where you are, but there are people who use some folks, some Y-shaped folk, magic folks, to try and find out where water, underground water, is. It was used so much in the past, you know magical and they use that, and when it falls this way, it kind of tells them where to find water. So it's called dozing or water water watching right. Number five Eastern religions. Eastern religions Wow, eastern religions are rife, rife with demonic activities, rife with demonic activities and they have invaded the world. They're no longer in the Eastern, they're all over, all over, coming through. It's one of them that I'll mention later on, which is a new age movement and all kinds. They're coming in a subtle way, like they're bringing wellness, they're bringing a diet, control and there's some supernatural aspect coming there. And all those are demonic religions, demonic religions and they are an abomination to the Lord. They open the door, they provide a highway for the enemy to come in and oppress.

Number six ESP ESP, that is extrasensory perception. Extrasensory perception I will not go deeper than that, but it is really extrasensory. You know, what we're talking about is beyond your senses. You are taught how to rely on ESP and how to do some meditation, some things, and you open yourself to the demonic world. So go and research more about ESP.

Number seven fortune telling. We've already mentioned that, but we are on F, so we bring this fortune telling, which comes under divination. If you are seeking to be told about fortune predictions of fortune, you go to diviners. That is an abomination. Number eight Freemasonry. Freemasonry, that secret society. There are so many people who are involved in Freemasonry. It is so, so demonic. Initially it looks very innocent. They are involved in charitable work. So demonic. Initially it looks very innocent. They're involved in charitable work, in giving. But as you advance into the Freemasonry cult, you get now involved and introduced to the gods, the goddesses and gods that are involved deep in there Isis is one of the gods there, oris and all kinds of evil, you know and they are involved in deep sacrifice. So I can't have time to go into the depth of all this, but Freemasonry is an abomination to the Lord.

Number nine horoscope Horoscope. We have mentioned these are stars. I'm not relying on stars. My star, you know. You want to see what astrologers have said. You want to read. You're being guided. I mentioned about people using apps or going to websites. You want to find how your day is going to be using your star. Well, if you have opened yourself to that, if you have opened yourself to that, if you have opened yourself to that, it is good to severe those links. Confess that sin and lock that door. Deny the enemy an opportunity to come in and oppress you. Number 10, idolatry and oppress you.

Number 10, idolatry, idolatry, idolatry of any kind is demonic and an abomination. Making an idol, you bow, you have a statue, you have things that you use for prayer, those that's, any form of idolatry, is an abomination. Remember we read that in Exodus, chapter 20, in our last teaching, exodus 20, where Moses was giving the 10 commandments. And you know where God says in verse 3 there, you shall not make for yourself any form of an image on heavens, on earth, under the earth, anything of a likeness of human or birds or whatever God says. For I am the Lord, your God, I am a jealous God. I'm just paraphrasing, just paraphrasing. But really it is the third commandment that you shall not make anything in the likeness of God. That's idolatry, something that you worship. That is an abomination.

Right Number 11, karma, karma, karma. Some of us may not be familiar with that Karma. Some of us may not be familiar with that, but karma is really. It comes down from Hinduism and Buddhism. You know this is where they look at your. They believe on your pre-existed you know and your existence now, how it will predict your future existence, that man revolves from one existence to another, and so they use these karmas to kind of predict and direct their lives. So karma, that's just another form of witchcraft. It's an abomination to the Lord.

Number 12, mesmerism Mesmerism, m-e-s-m-e-r-i-s-m, mesmerism, whatever way you will pronounce it. Well, this is another form of magic, not very familiar with others, but it's practiced in some religion. Okay, so you can go and research that. Number 13, magic all forms of magic, magic, and these days magic is coming in so many ways. There are games, all right, if you're playing some games, magic games, those open doors and we'll mention them later on. But there's any form of magic, right, magic, that is demonic and is an abomination to the Lord. Number 14, mantras, mantras. You go and study what are mantras? Again, they all come in there. Number 15 will surprise you.

Martial arts, martial arts, martial arts. You have to be very careful. The enemy is using that. It's all about physical fitness. No, no, no, no, there is more to it. Most martial arts, taekwondo and karate and all that. I used to do that a little bit when I was young. As a young man growing up, I had to denounce that. There was a position that you're supposed to have a posture and then you have to open up your mind and they use supernatural powers. Some people, as you go deeper in this, like Ticonderos or karate and all that in this, like taekwondo or karate and all that, you invoke some spirits, you invoke some demonic powers to be able to do that. So these have come down and it's really there's a lot of demonic activities that is involved in martial arts. So be very careful. If you have done any of that, you will know this. There's a time that you are told to get some posture, All right. So I know this surprises some people, but it's an abomination to the Lord.

New Age Meditation New Age Meditation or Transcendental Meditation T-A-M, t-a-m. Transcendental Meditation that is something that opens your spirit. You're supposed to open to empty yourself. It looks very innocent. It's like they're bringing health to you. But beyond that, I had a friend of mine who was involved in meditation and when I got saved, I started to tell him how evil, how dangerous it was. And I'm telling you, his deliverance came through, but it was a fight. It was a fight. He had opened himself to demonic activity, he didn't realize there are demons. He thought it was just meditation. He thought that it is opening your spirit, emptying your spirit. But when you are empty, you open up a highway for the demons to come in. So, tm, transcendental Meditation If you're involved in that, stop it. Stop it, all right, and confess that before God.

My 17 Ouija boards, ouija boards, ouija boards, the people who play those games, and they are demonic, right. Palm reading, palm reading you go to people, they call themselves palmists so they can read your, your palm and tell, speak, fortune and direct your life. That is demonic, all right. Psychics, psychics, those are all demonic. They predict some things which sometimes appear true. They become true, okay, and because they use familiar spirits, they use demonic spirits, spirits that are familiar with you. So psychics is a demonic thing.

Number 20, satanism, satanism, satanism. In the past it used to be something hidden, something secret. People would worship Satan secretly. But it's no longer the same Now they have become bold, they have become fearless, they have become shameless and now Satan is worshipped openly. They may call them churches in courts where they say we are Satanists, we worship Satan.

If you have been involved in the past or you are right there now. That is a demonic highway. It's a highway for the devil to come in and oppress. It's interesting. The devil is a bad master. He even the people who worship him. He oppresses them. He won't give you anything for free. You will have trouble and trouble and trouble, because demons love to oppress.

Number 21 sciences, sciences, sciences. Go and study that. S-e-a-n-s sorry, c-e-s, s-e-a-n-c-s sciences. Right, go and study that. Number 22, spiritism, spiritism. Spiritism is one of them. Again, you get involved in that and there are spirits all over the places. Right, that is demonic.

Number 23, tarot cards. Tarot cards, those cards are demonic. People who play those cards and they think it's just a game, it's just predictions, it's just guidance. It is highly demonic. And when you're involved in that, you are opening your soul, you are opening your life to these malevolent spirits, demons, to come and oppress you. If you have been doing that, you need to confess that before God.

Number 24, telepathy. Telepathy is a thing you can. Tele means a head, like calling telephone and things like that. It's a demonic thing, it's very demonic. Again, telepathy, you can search that If you're demonic. Again, telepathy, you can search that If you're not involved in that. Praise God. Stay away from that.
Speaker 1:
Number 25, voodoo, voodoo. That's really just witchcraft. Voodoo is witchcraft and all that. Number 26, wicca, wicca, it's all demonic. Number 27, witchcraft. We are going alphabetically witchcraft, witchcraft of any form. If your family, your people, you have come through a lineage, or you yourself have inherited witchcraft, that is an abomination to the Lord. That is an abomination to the Lord. You need to cry out to God to have mercy over you. Number 28, and we'll finish with that, that will surprise you.

And this is yoga, yoga, what, yes, yoga Yoga is, and it comes in so subtly. The Bible says the devil masquerades as an angel of light. You know he comes in as an angel of light. You know he comes in as an angel of light, whereas yoga is a Hindu spiritual and ascetic discipline, a part of which include breath control, simple meditation and an adoption of specific body postures, and it's widely practiced you, widely practiced for health and relaxation. People say I use it for relaxing, I use it for meditation, I use it and I obtain, I want to, I'm doing this, it's for my health, and all that. What they don't know is that yoga is demonic. Okay, yoga is so demonic.

There is a lot of witchcraft involved in that. You know so it's a dangerous thing. You enjoy doing it. I enjoy to start my day with yoga. What You're opening your heart and your spirit to demonic oppression Beloved. There is so much. The list can go on and on. These are just some of them that I picked up in my study. To just come and mention them, mention them to each and every one of us. Have you been involved in any? Maybe you're asking what shall I do? I think I've been involved in this. I think I've been involved in astrology. I think I love Wicca. I think I've been involved in astrology. I think I love Wicca. I think I've been playing tarot card and all this.

It's simple. It's simple when your eyes are open to the truth. What you need is to confess that a sin. Don't excuse it and say oh, I just didn't know. Well, ignorance or not, it is still sin. Call it as it is. Confess that. That means agree with God.

This is an abomination.

Ask God to forgive you, and then you have to dissociate yourself. You have to renounce whatever it is. I renounce witchcraft. I renounce yoga. I renounce whatever it is. I renounce witchcraft. I renounce yoga. I renounce terror curve. I renounce all forms of divination that have gone, all forms of witchcraft.

You have to do that yourself. It has to come out of your mouth. You'd renounce that and you dissociate and you link and you tell Satan I break my link from you. I severe that link, I break it. I release myself from that and then ask that the blood of Jesus Christ will cover you, the blood of Jesus to cover you and protect you from every form of Jesus. To cover you and protect you from every form. That way you deny, you rob the enemy of that legal right you are breaking, you are severing yourself, you are setting yourself free. You can do that. You can do that. When you do that, some of you will be released. You will feel a release that has come in, because you wonder why this oppression has been coming in. Maybe it's just because the enemy has had a say to continue oppressing. But when he has been robbed of that legal right to continue oppressing, then you can break through.
