Hi and welcome to today's session of Healing and Deliverance Tools. It's a podcast series where I share divine truths that can bring healing and deliverance from demonic oppression. My name is Dr Gilbert Mwachia, and thank you again for joining me, so today we will continue in what we have been sharing, gilbert Mochia, and thank you again for joining me, so today we will continue in what we have been sharing. We have been looking at how demons enter people, and we have covered a number of roads or doors which demons use to gain access into people's lives. If we know these doors, then we are able to close them and live a life of freedom from demonic influence or demonic oppression. So today I want to cover two of these doors or routes that the enemy can use, and one of them is sitting under false prophets sitting under false prophets, and the second one is very closely related, and so stay tuned so you can hear it. It's related to this, but also different in its own right. So let's get started as we look at this subject of sitting under false prophets.

Speaker 1:

Now, the days that we are living in are the last days. The Bible is very clear what kind of days will be, and he calls them perilous times or dangerous times. The last days will be dangerous times and, believe it or not, satan knows that his days are numbered. His days are few, as it says in Revelation 12 and verse 12. And so he has poured out his wrath. But I want us to look at what Jesus said first of all, concerning the days that you and I are living in, in Matthew 24, from verse 3. Now, as he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately saying Tell us when will these things be and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age? And Jesus answered and said to them Take heed that no one deceives you, for many will come in my name, saying I am the Christ, and they will deceive many, and you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled. All these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

Speaker 1:

Let me skip and go to verse 11. Let me skip and go to verse 11. It says then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many, and because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. Beloved the time that we are living in. Jesus described it, the characteristics thereof, but the key things that we look at here for now is that it'll be times of deception. Okay, so, there'll be deception and there'll be lawlessness and there'll be false prophets. Be lawlessness and there will be false prophets. Those are, those are some of the things that jesus clearly said during the last days, and it's the days that we are living in right now. There will be deception, deception, widespread deception, and many people are living under this deception that Jesus talked about. And also false prophets.

Speaker 1:

He said that false prophets will rise up and deceive many. Look at that. He says many will be deceived, many will follow these prophets and besides that, there will be trouble, there will be lawlessness, sin will abound everywhere and because of this, he says, the love of many will grow cold. We are being bombarded with all kinds of evil and lawlessness, of evil and lawlessness. If you don't guard your hurt, you will find even the love that you have for God is going down, is diminishing. It's because of the cloud of deception that is grabbing the hearts of many, many people, and so Jesus would warn his people.

If we go to Matthew, chapter 7 and verse 15, you will see him again A number of times, jesus repeating this Matthew 7, verse 15, down there to 23,. He says Beware O false prophets who come to you in sheep clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruit. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistle? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear a bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. He says even every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore, by their fruits you will know them.

Speaker 1:

Listen to what he says. Not everyone who says to me, lord, lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who dares the will of my Father in heaven, he who dares the will of my father in heaven. Many will say to me in that day Lord, lord, have we not prophesied in your name, cast out demons in your name and done many wonders in your name? Then I will declare to them I never knew you. Depart from me, you who practice lawlessness.

Speaker 1:

You see that that is Jesus describing the false prophets and the warning is very clear. He's warning his followers and he says beware. That's how he starts in verse 15. There he says beware that's how he starts in verse 15 there Beware of false prophets who come to you as sheep, but as sheep they are clothed in sheep clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves, men who are ruthless. They tear down the flock, and those are the days that we are living in. Those are people who are outside. But not only that. You find Paul also warning the church, warning the church, apostle Paul, in 1 Timothy 4, verse 1 and 2,. He says Now the Spirit says that in later times. He says expressing now the spirit clearly or expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith.

Speaker 1:

Giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron. All false prophets hear this. All false prophets. I'm not reading now, I've finished quoting the Bible. All false prophets operate under the powers of darkness. Every false prophet. There is a spirit from hell, there is a satanic spirit that is governing them, even though they may claim talk about Jesus, talk about the Lord. Jesus says.

Speaker 1:

Some will say Lord, lord, didn't we prophesy? Didn't we cast out demons? Didn't we heal the sick in your name? And he will say depart from me, you workers of iniquity. I never knew you, so it's one thing to say. You know.

Speaker 1:

So these prophets, these prophets we are saying now, what we are concerned at the moment is because we are living in these days of deception, these days of false prophets. There are many, many who are being deceived, being deceived, and when you sit under the influence, influence, under the anointing or under the spirit that is at work in a false prophet, then you open up your spirit to the demonic world. Your spirit is open up, you become bare because you have gone and you are sitting. Remember, your eyes are the entrance to your soul, your ears is the entrance to your soul, so your senses, they pass through your senses. And when you sit under the teachings, under the influence, under the spirit, under the anointing of a false prophet, then you drink the spirit that is operating in that prophet.

Speaker 1:

Haven't you wondered how people are killing themselves, people committing suicide? Remember the story of Jim Jones. I think it was 1978, I remember the story of Jim Jones I think it was 1978, how this false prophet, a cult leader, was able to cause a kill, almost 900, over 900 people, 909 people died. And you wonder, how couldn't these people know? No, it's because. It's because when they sit under the, the spirit, under the influence of those teaching, they are demons that come into their life, they open themselves and they get all kinds of spirit besides the deception that gets hold of their hearts.

Speaker 1:

Now other spirits can come in, as how suicide spirits come in, spirits of immorality, you find. If a false prophet has an immoral spirit, then that same spirit is communicated to the congregant and they start behaving funny and manifesting funny things and doing funny things. You wonder how are these people doing what they're doing? Can't they see that is wrong, that is not right, that is not moral? It's because they are deceived. They are deceived by the enemy. So that's how some people get influenced by demonic spirit, just allowing themselves to sit under the powers or under the anointing, under the spirit of a false prophet.

Speaker 1:

You and I have to be careful. You and I have to be cautious. All right, let me mention the other one that is related to this, and I have to be careful. You and I have to be cautious. All right, let me mention the other one that is related to this. Related to this, and this is the laying on of hands. Laying on of hands, yes, this is one way demons come into people. This is one way demons come into people.

Speaker 1:

There is a transfer of spirits during the process of laying hands. All right, now this can be used for good. It can also be used for evil. The spiritual world is the same. It works the same in the kingdom of light and it works the same way in the kingdom of darkness. Now let me give examples in the kingdom of light and the kingdom of God. You see, the apostles, for example, in Acts, chapter 8, where the gospel was spreading. It went to Samaria and the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God and they sent Peter and John. And we are told in Acts 8, verse 17, that Peter and John laid their hands on the believers and they received the Holy Spirit. You see, it's a good spirit, the holy spirit coming upon the people through the process of laying on of hands, laying on of hands. So what I'm saying? There is a transfer of spirits. It's not just just hands are. There is a spirit. When you have your people lay hands on you, there is a spiritual transaction that takes place.

Speaker 1:

Look at Timothy being told by Apostle Paul in 1 Timothy 4 and verse 14. And verse 14,. There you see Paul telling Timothy do not neglect the gift of God, which came through prophecy. I'm not reading, but I'm paraphrasing. He says that it came through prophecy and the laying on of hands by the elders or the presbytery. So Paul is telling Timothy you have the gift of God, you have the gift of the spirit. The gifts of God came upon you Through a prophetic word that was released and also through the laying on of my hands and also the hands of the elders. So you see here that the laying on of hands of Timothy received a Holy Spirit, received a gift from God.

Speaker 1:

So if you get your hands laid by a false prophet, now it's not just in church. You have to understand this, it's the spirit what I'm bringing here. I'm saying it was close to other, but it's not just in church. You have to understand this. It's a spirit what I'm bringing here. I'm saying it was close to other, but it's different because you can have false prophets lay hands on you or you can have psychic. If you get laid hands by a psychic or a witch or a soothsayer or a diviner. There are so many diviners in the church, not just outside there, even in the church Sorcerers or anyone who has an unclean spirit, there will be a transfer of demons. That is a root that demons use. That is a root that demons can exploit to bring oppression to God's people.

Speaker 1:

You're saying, wow, yes, so what do we do? What do we do then if we find, if we have been exposed to demonic influence or demonic oppression through the laying on of hands or sitting under a false prophet? Maybe you have been sitting under a ministry or under teachings that are cultic, cultic work. Cults operate with a spirit. There's a demon spirit from hell. And what do you do? What do you do?

Speaker 1:

Well, the fastest step I think this is important, I'll mention it because Jesus mentioned the first thing is prevention. First step is to prevent even the opportunity of opening yourself up to what? To demonic influence. How do you do that? Beware, that's what Jesus said. He said that in Matthew 7, verse 15, where we read he said beware of false prophets. In other words, be on guard, watch out, don't just listen to anybody, don't just bring yourself.

Speaker 1:

Check the doctrine. Check what is the belief, what is their life Doctrine. Check what is the belief, what is their life, what is the life of the person that you are sitting under to receive, if it is the word of God or instruction, because you don't want to open yourself up to evil spirit, to demonic spirits, and start getting oppression. Remember one spirit comes in, he brings others, he invites others to come in and cause more oppression. How do you know?

Speaker 1:

Maybe you're asking how do I know whether the person is a true preacher or is a true prophet or not? Well, jesus already gave us the answer. He said you shall know them by their fruit. Remember where we read. He said a good tree will bear good fruit and a bad tree will bear bad fruits. Those false prophets cannot hide for long. You know somehow their lives. If you go behind their lives, you will see things. If you open your eyes, if you scrutinize it, you will see things that are not right. You will see things that are not right. He says you will know them by their fruit. The fruit is what comes out in their life. How is their not just in the altar or in the pulpit? How is their own private lives? You know their private lives, the fruit of their lives.

Speaker 1:

If they are immoral, if they are workers of iniquity, remember Jesus said they shall come on the last days and said lord, and they've been calling jesus lord, lord, lord, didn't we prophesy in your name? Didn't we heal the sick? Didn't we cast out demons in your name? He says and and then he says I will say to them away from me, you, workers of iniquity. There is the key workers of iniquity, workers of evil. And he said I never knew you. So God's word will work, but it doesn't mean the fellow. The fellow has a clean spirit, all right.

Speaker 1:

So prevention is the first thing, is the best thing, is the best antidote. Beware, watch out, know the times and the season that we are living in. These are dangerous days. These are days of evil, these are days of deception. My brother, my sister, deception is all over the place. You have to be cautious. Take caution Number two what do you do? Maybe you think that I think I drank some spirit. I drank a spirit from a false prophet. What do you do? Number two, he says, is submit to God. Submit to God. James, chapter 4, verse 7, james gave us a good formula. James gave us a good formula. He says submit yourselves to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you. So that progression is important.

Speaker 1:

First of all, you submit to God. What do you mean by submitting to God? You have to agree with God, you have to bring yourself under clean teaching. Confess that, lord, I opened up my spirit. I was ignorant, I was not aware. But you see, ignorant is not defense. So you are confessing that, you are agreeing with God that that man, that woman, was a false prophet. So you, you now come to submit yourself to god and say god, I want to be led by your true spirit, your holy spirit. I wanted to walk in righteousness, in holiness. In truth, I don't want to be misled, I want to cut myself, you see. So you have to cut yourself, delink yourself. And then you, after you do that, you have to renounce that. You're submitting yourself now to true godly leadership. All right.

Speaker 1:

And then number three is what? Again what james has said already. In that verse, chapter 4, verse 7, he says resist the devil. Again, this is your part. I can't do that for you, nobody can do that for you. He says resist the devil and he will flee from you.

Speaker 1:

See, once you know the truth, once you, the enemy has been exposed and you take your stand against demonic powers, you just know, demons only operate when they are allowed to. But when you take your stand, when you refuse, when you resist, when you command them, when you say you got to leave me alone, you got to leave me alone, you got to leave me alone, I have no part. I have no part. You know, like what I have shared in the past, if there is any covenant that you entered with a demonic one, you got to break that. There's no way you can walk in freedom until you have broken yourself out from demonic paths, demonic covenants, demonic agreements. You have to set yourself free from demonic powers.

Speaker 1:

Number four, of course you might find are in a situation and you cannot deliver yourself. You cannot. You are resisting, you're fighting and it's not working. And number four is seek help for deliverance from those anointed to conduct deliverance. Jesus christ has given gifts to the church, has given different anointings to different ministers.

Speaker 1:

So you gotta look for a good deliverance church, a church that believes we have been given power to cast out demons. You know that's very important because there are churches which don't want to do that. They don't want to do that and Jesus clearly said you shall lay hands on these signs. Will follow those that believe in my name. They shall cast out demons. So that's our part. So believers have that mandate given by God. And you'll be surprised. There are churches that teach against that. They teach against praying for the sick, laying hands on the sick, delivering, and you go to them churches. I have to say this you go to those churches and the believers are under oppression. Why? Because people are not taking advantage of what we have been given as a church.

Speaker 1:

We'll cover this in some teachings that will come. But yeah, look for a place or a minister where somebody can pray. Agree with you, as you are resisting the devils, you're fighting. Then there's somebody who has spiritual authority. He knows his authority, he knows his authority, he knows the power that has been given and he's exercising that power against demonic spirits. Then you'll get your deliverance, hallelujah. So today we have covered two of routes that the enemy uses. One is sitting under teachings by a false prophet, is sitting under teachings by a false prophet, and the second one is being laid hands by one who has unclean spirits.
