Understanding And Practicing Fasting- Spiritual Benefits (Part 1)
Fasting isn't merely a tradition; it's a deeply rooted expectation in Christian faith, as demonstrated by Jesus Christ Himself. What if abstaining from food could bring you closer to God and grant you spiritual clarity? This episode promises to uncover the spiritual and physical dimensions of fasting. By understanding the body's natural state of ketosis and its ability to endure without food for spiritual purposes, we debunk common fears and misconceptions.
Humility and fasting are powerfully connected, as illustrated throughout the Old Testament. We explore scriptures from Leviticus 16 and Isaiah 58, revealing how the Israelites were instructed to humble themselves, particularly during Yom Kippur. This act of self-denial is further supported by 2 Chronicles 7:14 and 1 Peter 5, emphasizing that God exalts those who earnestly seek Him in humility. The story of King Ahab’s repentance in 1 Kings 21 exemplifies how humility and fasting can attract God's mercy, even for the most wayward souls.
Lastly, we delve into the incredible blessings that stem from fasting, prayer, and acts of kindness. Inspired by biblical teachings, we highlight the transformative power of serving those in need. Isaiah 58 emphasizes that blessings like healing and righteousness arise from ministering to the less fortunate.

Amen. So we want to continue with our teachings on this very uncomfortable but necessary subject about fasting. We start talking about fasting. We want to switch off. But we have seen in our last teaching that, first of all, fasting is not a requirement but an expectation. Jesus Christ himself set up an example he fasted.
Speaker 2:and not only that, he expressly said in the Word, where we read in Matthew, chapter 16, chapter 6, verse 16, moreover, when you fast, do not be like the hypocrites with the sad antennas, for they disfigure their faces that they may appear to men to.
Speaker 1:And then verse 17, it starts by saying but you when you fast.
Speaker 2:So Jesus expects his disciples to fast. One time the disciples of John and the Pharisees. They came and they were asking why do the disciples of John fast and those of the Pharisees they fast, but your disciples do not? And he explained to them right now they have the bridegroom with him, but a time will come when the bridegroom will be taken away. Then they shall fast. That is in Matthew, chapter 9.
Speaker 2:Fasting primarily means denying yourself food for spiritual purposes, for purposes of prayer. You want to pray and that is important, that it is mainly abstinence from food for the purpose of seeking God in prayer. If you just deny yourself food and you don't pray, it might as well be called dieting, but you are not dieting. You are not doing it for dieting. But it may also include water that you withdraw from water and food. That's a dangerous fast. It can happen. Now, science says you can do that for three days, and when you're fasting without food and water, don't try to go beyond three days. In fact, fasting without water is something that you should try to avoid. Your body can live without water for about seven days and after that it will expire. But with water, studies have shown that your body and my body can go for up to two to three months. It is two to three months because our bodies have different storage capacity. There are some people who have more fats, and so they are able to go beyond that up to three months. Some people, in the period of two months, that's like 60 days without food. You can do that and you are still alive. It's amazing how, when you start to fast, your body screams as though it will drop dead the next one hour. It's amazing, and it's all because this body that you and I have is so earthly, is so connected to this earth that it doesn't want to do anything. That has spiritual benefits. You have to understand that, and we will come to that in a little bit, but I wanted to bring, before I go into those spiritual benefits.
Speaker 2:If you are fasting for long, there is what is called starvation. Now, starvation is where you are heading to death in the process of fasting. Starvation comes in when your body begins to break down. Your tissues, your muscles and your organs begin to be broken down for purposes of getting some energy in order to make you continue living All right. Now, when you begin to fast, especially if you're fasting with water only the first day. The second day they are horrible, they are difficult. When you get to the third day, it becomes that becoming easier because your body is built up under your skin, in your organs, everywhere. Some of us have excess fat storage, like I do here, and your body goes into what is called ketosis. Breaking down fat and fat is something that you don't need. In fact, some of us have our blood vessels clogged with so much fat that is waiting for the day you start fasting to clear up and clean those blood vessels so that you can have tissues nourishment through the blood in a better way.
Speaker 2:I'm saying that, I'm putting that ahead because I know we will repeat that, but what I'm trying to do with saying those because there are people who have not watched our teachings before is to remove the fear, is to drive out the fear that holds so many of us from passing because we are afraid we will die. You won't die because we have dramatized anger. Have you realized like if I miss one meal, for example, in the evening, I tell people I'm starving? That's just an exaggeration. You are not starving, because starving, starvation is literally when your body suffers extreme anger and it begins to destroy itself, destroy your muscle, destroy your organs. That's when you are now starving and when you fast for long, there is a signal you will get. Okay, hear me good, because I know some of you may not watch other teachings that are coming. You're so afraid.
Speaker 2:When you stop you fast, after three days the hunger feeling, hunger pangs, go away. You no longer feel hungry. It's amazing when the body switches. It's like a switch. The body switches into a new way of you getting energy. You no longer feel hungry, so now it is getting energy from your food stores, from your fat deposit, to keep you going and clear out the excess energy that has been stored for times like that. And then, when those energy sources are depleted, there is a trigger that comes in to tell you now you are fasting, your energy stores are gone and your body is now beginning to destroy itself. That comes after 40 days, some people after 60 days, some people. You don't have to go for that long.
Speaker 2:And if you are watching this, I am not telling you to fast 40 days without food. No, that's not what I am saying. Okay, but I am just teaching you some of the physiologic mechanisms. These are medically documented, medically researched by people who have gone through fasting. After a number of days, before your body begins to destroy itself and its organs, you will begin to feel hungry again. Anger comes back and that's a signal to tell you if you are fasting. Maybe you are going for 40 days and it comes on the 26th day or the 27th day. I'm glad I am sharing this because I may have forgotten. If you are fasting, maybe for long, with water only, and you're not feeling hungry, maybe you wanted to go to 40 days, but after 27 days or 33 days, you start feeling hungry again. That's a physiological signal that has been built in by the creator to tell you it is time to give your body nourishment and don't go beyond that. Don't go beyond that. It is time to start eating slowly, because your tissues will start damaging and you can get into serious health problems.
Speaker 2:Amen, let's continue with what we are learning spiritual benefit. And it's amazing, brethren, that some of the things that I will share with you here about the benefits that we get out of our fasting. All right, we already mentioned and I'll just mention this in passing that fasting is as important as prayer and reading of the word. We saw this last week. But I just wanted to mention this for completeness, because when Jesus was teaching about prayer, at the same teaching he also taught about fasting, and he uses almost the same words. He says when you pray, your father sees in secret. When you fast, your father sees in secret and he will reward you. So we mentioned that.
Speaker 2:Let's go to number two, the second benefit. The second benefit of fasting Spiritual benefit of fasting Very important, very important, very important. Fasting humbles the soul before God. Fasting humbles the soul before God. It is a sign of humility. It is a sign of humility, it is a blessing of humility. Let me read with you Psalms 35, verse 13. Here we will see David, psalms 35 and verse 13. As for me, when they were sick, my clothes were subtle. I humbled myself with fasting. You see that I humbled myself with fasting and my prayer would return to my own heart. Right, right, that's what the key words that I wanted to take there is that David is saying. As for me, when they were sick, my clothing was surplus and I humbled my soul with fasting. So fasting humbles the soul, it humbles the soul.
Speaker 2:Let's go to Leviticus, chapter 16. When you come to Leviticus, chapter 16, I'll just read two verses as you open. There I'll be explaining. This is the day of atonement, leviticus 16. Leviticus is the third book in the Bible. Today we have a soft Bible, so it's easy to get that Leviticus. Leviticus, chapter 16 and verse 29.
Speaker 2:This is probably one of the only times in the Old Testament where God prescribed a time for the nation of Israel, the whole nation, to humble themselves and present the blood, and present the blood on the altar so that the sins of the Israelites could be forgiven. And God required that they humble themselves. Look at verse 29. Verse 29, it says this shall be a statute forever for you. In the seventh month, on the 10th day of the month, you shall afflict your souls and do no work at all, whether a native of your own country or a stranger who dwells among you. Now this is today. It's still being practiced. It's called Yom Kippur. It comes about the month that was the end of September and sometimes early October, the day of atonement. God prescribed to the children of Israel that they humble themselves, and the words that I use here I want you to take those words that I use here that you shall afflict your soul. God wanted his own people to afflict their souls before him, as the high priest was going to present the blood for the forgiveness of their sins. Now, in this instance, you don't see God calling it fasting. The Bible is just talking about afflicting your souls.
Speaker 2:Now let's go together to Isaiah chapter 58. Let's go together to Isaiah chapter 58. I need you to see where you can connect the dots together with the Leviticus chapter, number 16, where we have read All right, isaiah 58 is a very important chapter. When you are doing fasting, I would that you read it again and again. But let's go to Isaiah, isaiah 58. We'll just read verse 3 and 5. Isaiah 58, we'll come back to it later on in a moment, but I want to read verse3 all the way to verse 5.
Speaker 2:Isaiah 58, here we go. Why? This is the children of Israel. Let me explain that before because I'm getting into scriptures. These are the children of Israel. They are complaining against God. They have a complaint against God and God is speaking through Isaiah, his prophet, to his own people. So the people are complaining and God is speaking through his prophet, giving the message and answering the complaint of the people of Israel.
Speaker 2:Verse 3, why have we fasted, they say, and you have not seen? Why have we afflicted our souls and you take no notice? Do you see that? So they're saying we have fasted and you have not seen it. We have afflicted our souls and you take no notice. There you go again. So they are tying afflicting of their souls with fasting.
Speaker 2:Let me continue there. So God is answering and saying in fact, in the day of your fast, you'll find a pleasure and exploit all your laborers. Indeed, you'll fast for strife and debate and to strike with the fist of wickedness. You will not fast as you do this day to make your voice heard on high. Is it a fast that I have chosen A day for a man to afflict his soul? You see those words again, verse 5,. It says Is it a fast that I have chosen A day for a man to afflict his soul? Is it to bow down his head like a bulrush and to spread out sackcloth and ashes? Will you call this a fast and unacceptable day of the Lord to the Lord?
Speaker 2:So what I want you to see at the moment in these verses is that Isaiah, or God, is speaking to the children of Israel and he's saying to them first of all, they are complaining and they say, we have afflicted our souls, we have fasted and, oh God, you have not seen, you have not paid attention. And then God corrects them and tells them yes, you have fasted, yes, you have afflicted your soul, but there are things that you are doing wrong. So fasting is the humbling our souls before God and beloved. There is something about humility. There is something about humility that attracts God. All right, there is something about humility God loves when we humble ourselves.
Speaker 2:Many of us know, and I don't want to go to 2 Chronicles 7, verse 14. 2 Chronicles 7, verse 14. There are many who can cut that off head where it says. It says if my people who are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wickedness, then will I hear from heaven and I will forgive their sins and heal their life. This is God who was speaking to Solomon and he's telling him if my own people, my own people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and shake my face and run away from their wickedness, then I will hear. You see, god is calling his people to humble themselves, and this humbling themselves is fasting, beloved, it's fasting. God loves humility. God loves humility. And how do you show humility loves humility. And how do you show humility? Humility is shown by you taking time to deny yourself food, the luxury of food, the luxury of the steak, the luxury of the hamburger, and saying I am setting myself to humble myself before God in seeking his face.
Speaker 2:Listen to what Peter says in 1 Peter 5. If you go to 1 Peter 5, you will see this very clearly about humility. There's so much that we can share about humility, but let me bring this 1 Peter 5, I will go to verse 5, 6, 7. 5, 6, 7. Those three verses, all right. 1 Peter, chapter 5. Listen as we read together. It says likewise you, younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, submit yourselves to your elders, yes, all of you be submissive to one another and be clothed with humility, for God resists the proud, but he gives grace to the humble. Wow to the humble. Wow. God resists the proud, but he gives grace to the humble Verse 5, verse 6, therefore, humble yourself. And when we're talking about humble yourself, you can actually read fast, take time to fast. Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God that he may exalt you in due time, casting all your cares upon him, for he cares for you.
Speaker 2:What precious promises beloved. Look, peter is saying he says God resists the promise. There is something about God which puts him off. When our lives are proud, when we feel we are in control, when we feel I can do it, I don't need God, I can do this on my own, I am able, I am strong, I am learned, I have money, I have a I I am. So when, when, when a man's heart is strutting before god is proud, look at the money, look at my savings, look at the things that I have done, look at that is proud, that is pride.
Speaker 2:The Bible says God resists the proud, but he gives grace to the humble. What are we saying here? Beloved, god loves humility and he promises that he will give grace to those who are humble. He will give grace, he will give humility and we all need grace, because grace is God's strength, it's God's anointing, it's God's power. And he says God resists the proud, god resists Men, god resists Men. You can't push more than God, right? When he says God resists the proud, it means you are on one side and God is on the other side and you're all pushing. You are trying to push, to go forward, you are trying to make it on your own. You are trying to accomplish on your own, but God is on the other side and he is pushing back and pushing back. I tell you, I don't think you can push more than God, but there is a promise here. It says therefore, humble yourself under the mighty hand of God that he may exalt you in due time, casting all your cares upon him, for he cares for you. Humble yourself, just that, just humble yourself. Show your dependence to God, show that you need God in your life, and God has promised he will lift you up in due time, hallelujah.
Speaker 2:Let me go to this other point, number three. Number three, which is very similar, but it is, on its own Very similar Fasting, fasting. Fasting draws the attention of God. Fasting draws the attention of God. There is something about fasting, about humility, about fasting when you show your and we cannot beloved, we cannot explain it. Why is God? We don't have the, we don't know the why, but we can see the what. All right, whenever you fast, whenever you fast, you draw the attention of God like magnet.
Speaker 2:I could show you many examples in the Bible, but let me show you one. Let's go to 1 Kings, chapter 21. You need to see this. This is a very dramatic case of King Ahab. 1 Kings, chapter 21. King Ahab was one of the most evil kings Israel has ever heard. First Kings, chapter 21. All right, first Kings, chapter 21.
Speaker 2:I'll give you a little story about King Ahab. King Ahab married he was the king of Israel, all right. And he married Jezebel, one of the most evil women in the Bible. In the whole history of man. Jezebel is the epitome of evil, and this woman dragged the king to do some of the most wicked things in the eyes of God, until evil was named after him that they followed after the evil of Ahab. Now, during the time of Ahab, there was a man of God, elijah the prophet. That was a fearless man. Kings could kill you in a moment, but Elijah Elijah was a man of God. He was a fearless prophet. He never feared the prophet. He never feared sorry, he never feared the king, and God sent him with a message of judgment against King Ahab.
Speaker 2:Look at verse 27, which is very surprising. Let me, before I read it, look at the judgment. Look at how God is angry. He's angry at Ahab and for all the evil he had dragged the whole nation down. They were worshiping idols. Ahab put all kinds of idols in the temple. There was witchcraft, everything that Jezebel wanted. This woman loved Ahab and Ahab was just doing anything that Jezebel wanted. And God was so angry. God was so mad because Jezebel had killed Nebo, because Ahab wanted Nebo's vineyard and he killed Nebo so that Ahab can take over the vineyard of Nebo. And so God said to the prophet go and pronounce judgment to this evil man. Go and tell him I will kill him when he has killed Naboth dog will also lick him and Jezebel will die. She will be eaten by dogs, and all your sons and everything that concerns you, they will be eaten by the birds of air. Such a harsh judgment because of the wickedness of Ahab and his family, because he drugged Israel. So when Elijah pronounced the judgment and told him, god has pronounced judgment over you to wipe you out and your sons and everything, and your wife Jezebel, to wipe you out, Look at what happens Now. Pay attention to verse 27. All right, so it was when Ahab had those words that he tore his clothes and put sackcloth on his Verse 28.
Speaker 2:Elijah, the Tishbite, saying see how Ham has humbled himself before me, because he has humbled. This is what you should underline brethren, because he has humbled himself before me. I will not bring the calamity in his days, in the days of his son. I will bring the calamity in his days In the days of his son. I will bring the calamity on his house. What?
Speaker 2:When you read that, if you are a reader of the Bible, the first thing you say God, what are you doing? Here is a man so wicked. Here is a man who has dug the whole nation into wickedness. Here is a man you have already pronounced judgment on. And Ahab listens to the words of the prophet and says, oh my, I am done. I better humble myself. And immediately he throws his clothes, he puts on sackclothes and he goes into a fast. When he goes into a fast, elijah is walking away. Maybe two, three days later, god tells Elijah have you seen how Ahab has humbled himself? Go back and tell him I will not bring the calamity on him on his days. I will do it in the days of his son, him on His days. I will do it in the days of His Son Beloved.
Speaker 2:There is a mystery about humility. There is a mystery that God is attracted. If you miss everything else, I want you to know God is attracted when you humble yourself in fasting. We don't know what, but there is the attention of God that is drawn. Now let's go back and finish up with where we were reading, isaiah, chapter 58.
Speaker 2:Let's go back and finish up there at Isaiah 58, I want you to see, to see for yourself how God is describing it. We have read verse three to five. I will read again and I want you to pay attention how God is talking about my attention being drawn by your fasting. You're fasting and my attention is drawn, but you guys are doing it the wrong way, and so he corrects them, he tells them how they should do it. Listen, isaiah 58, verse 3 again.
Speaker 2:Why have we fasted, they say, and you have not seen. So they expected God to see. Why have we fasted, they say, and you have not seen. So they expected god to see. Why have we fasted, they say, and you have not seen. So they are asking. And then god answers and says in fact, in the day you fast, you find a pleasure and exploit. You are liberals but for, indeed, you fast for strife and debate and to strife with the fist of wickedness. You will not listen to these words, you will not fast as you do this day to make your voice hard on high. Are you seeing that you will not fast as you do this day? He is correcting them. The idea is to make their voice heard, but he's telling them you will not fast as you do this day to make your voice heard. This is God talking To make your voice heard on high.
Speaker 2:And then he tells them is this the path that I have chosen? A day for a man to afflict his soul, is it to bow down his head like a bulrush and to spread out with sackcloth and ashes? Would you call this a fast, an acceptable day to the Lord? So when you fast, what am I saying? I'm saying when you fast, when you give even a day, a day of fasting is a day that is acceptable before. If you do it for the right motive, if you do it in the right way, it is a day that is acceptable in the eyes of the Lord. Do you see that? And we are denying ourselves power? We'll see other benefits in the next teaching, but listen to verse 6. Verse 6. It says Is it not the first that I have chosen to lose the bones of wickedness, to undo the happy burdens, to let the oppressed go free, and that your bread every yoke? Verse 7. Is it not to share your bread with the hungry? Verse 7. So God is correcting them. He said there is a way I want you to fast. There is a way.
Speaker 2:When you fast, try to do some good. Try to help the poor, try to help the needy. Minister to the needs around you. Look for your relatives whom you can help. Do something good during the time of your fasting. Beloved. I want to read some promises of god there which we will take home when we are fasting. All right, listen to verse 8. Listen to verse 8 every one of you. Are you with me? Are you with me? If you're watching, don't fall away. Don't fall away because this is where the meat is. As we go home, look at verse 8.
Speaker 2:Then, when you do the right thing, when you fast, when you humble yourself, look at the promises of God here, verse 8. Hallelujah. Then your light shall break forth like the morning. Your healing shall spring forth speedily and your righteousness shall go before you. The glory of the lord, your god, shall be your god. Then you shall call and the lord will answer. You shall cry and he will say here I am.
Speaker 2:I don't know if you don't get excited by the word of God, I don't know how else. How else can we beloved? They are precious promises, precious promises when we fast and we begin to minister out, when we begin to share what we have. You know his promising. Have you counted the promises? Okay, let's count them together, because I don't have too much time, my time is up and all of you are almost going on to lunch. All right, let's count them together.
Speaker 2:He says number 8. He says then your light will break forth like the morning. Do you know what that means, that the light, your light, will break forth like the morning. It means, like I want you to picture that somebody has been in darkness, somebody has been in confusion, somebody is lost. You don't know what is going on, where your life is heading to, and you begin to fast the right way, you begin to minister to those who are needy, you begin to help those who are suffering.
Speaker 2:The Bible says your light will break forth like a morning. Have you watched sun coming up in the morning, clearing away the darkness around you? My goodness, some of us who are in darkness. Maybe you are in confusion, maybe you are low, maybe you are tired. I mean, there is no way. All you need is to humble yourself before God. Start doing that. Okay, what is the second blessing? You are healing. You are healing Shall spring forth speedily. Did you know some diseases we don't need to pray for? Did you know some problems we don't need to pray for? Did you know some problems we don't need to lay hands on Some people? All they need to do. You begin to do good, you begin to fast, you begin to pray, you begin to minister to the needy. And the Bible says then your healing will spring forth speedily.
Speaker 2:What a blessing, what a blessing. What a blessing, what a blessing, what a blessing. And your righteousness shall go before you and he says the glory of the lord shall be your rear, god. And then you shall call and the lord will answer and you shall cry and and God will say here I am, wow, wow. We all want to, when I cry, say, oh, father, I need help. We want to see God saying here I am. But God says there's a way to do it. You know, when I was looking at this, I was saying maybe we need some ministries to be born, even from amongst us. Beloved. We are looking to draw God and listen to me those of you who are here, listen to me if you are here. We are looking to draw the attention of God. We want God to hear us draw the attention of God. We want God to hear us, beloved, there are some small, easy things that we can do and God will run speedily towards all that we need to do. There is so much.
Speaker 2:I was telling my wife the other day. I walked into my closet. I walked into my closet. I walked into my closet to where I have my clothes and all that, and I looked at it and I was ashamed, I felt bad about myself. I said this cloth here, this jacket here, I have not used for more than one year.
Speaker 2:I tell you the truth. There are some slippers, slip-in shoes, slip-in shoes that are there. I have not used them for two or three. I had them when I was in Conroe. Okay, no, they came with my wife when we moved from Lancaster and then I had another pair here in Houston. So that pair that came in from Lancaster, my wife brought it from Lancaster. I did not use it. I stayed with it in Conroe. We stayed over one year on the other side. Now we have finished another year. I have not used it. It and it's still lying there. I don't know when I will ever use that.
Speaker 2:And some clothes and some things and some bath and some stuff that we don't need, beloved, right downtown here Houston, right here in the hood, right across here Houston, right here in the wood, right across. They are homeless people, they are needy people. Why can't we have somebody say I want to help and you start a ministry gathering the things that we don't need? It can start with us and then we can go, even put a small signboard in the easy Say hey, I am looking for things that you're not using. I want to give them to the people who I need. And you start collecting. I am telling you, our neighbors will give us stuff, our neighbors will give us stuff. We take them to downtown and look we have, we have duvets. Do you call those blankets duvets? What do you call them Heels? We have heels. We have duvets. We have blankets. Some of them are just lying there in the garage and they are homeless people. During winter. Maybe you stay in a place that is very cold. Maybe we can bless them, take them under.
Speaker 2:Oh, it is not just about fasting, about food. It is doing good. It is serving those who are needy. Look at what the Bible says. God, I wish I had time. I wish I had time, please.
Speaker 2:Verse 6,. God is saying time I wish I had to. Please. Verse 6,. God is saying is this not the fact that I have chosen to lose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke? Is it not to share your bread with the hungry and that you bring to your house the poor who are cast away? When you see the naked, those are the needy, that you cover him and that you hide yourself not from your own flesh. And then he begins his promises. He says then, when you do this, then your light will break forth like money and your healing will spring up speedily and your righteousness will go before you. The glory of the Lord shall be your God and you shall call and the Lord will answer and you shall cry and he will say here, yeah, you hear me. There are promises and blessings of God which we have not tapped.
Speaker 2:God is looking at his word. God wants to do his word. He is the one who is saying if you do this, you will catch my attention. You will cry and I will say here I am. You are sick in your body. Your healing will spring forth speedily. That means it will come back.
Speaker 2:Nobody has prayed for you. Nobody has laid their hands on you. You only did what God says you do, and God considers that fasting you have denied yourself. You say this beautiful dress, I'm going to give it out to somebody who will use it. This beautiful shoe, I don't need it, I don't think I'll ever use it. But there is somebody who, when he gets that shoe, he will say this is what I have been praying for. God bless you for giving me a shoe, god bless you for giving me a dress, god bless you for ministering to my need. And as they ascend like that, oh, there is a prayer that is ascending before God. It's a prayer that is ascending before God. And then, when you lift up your hand and say oh God, I need this God say then I share you.
Speaker 1:You will call and stay here.
Speaker 2:What can you do, beloved? Where can you start? We don't have to start far. We don't have to start far, we don't have to start big, but there is something you can do in your fasting to bring the healing hand of God, the delivering hand of God and the power. I didn't have time to talk to you about the glory of the Lord becoming your rear guard. Oh, my goodness, it is so loaded. If I begin talking about that here, you will start jumping on your feet Just to know what it means for the glory of the Lord coming back and becoming your rear guard. We will carry on from there. God bless you. We'll see you in our next teaching.
Speaker 1:Hope you are learning and receiving something from the word of God. Well, that's all the time we have for the moment. And as we finish, maybe you're saying, pastor, I need some prayers.
