Your Season Has Not Changed (Part 1)

Dr. Gilbert Mwachia

Can God's timing truly transcend the chaos of our everyday lives? In this episode we tackle the complex dance between human perception and divine timing, digging into the Greek concepts of "chronos" and "kairos." With insights from Ephesians 5:15-17, we emphasize the importance of recognizing these opportune moments that can catalyze significant spiritual growth. Reflect on Jesus' entry into Jerusalem as a pivotal kairos moment and learn how not to miss these divine opportunities that could transform your life and align you more closely with God's intentions.

As the episode unfolds, we unlock the transformative power of God's Word, grounded in Isaiah 55, and its ability to accomplish divine purposes beyond human constraints. Even as calendar years change, God's seasons remain constant, inviting us to keep our eyes wide open to kairos moments that guide our spiritual journeys. Embrace a journey of spiritual clarity, shedding obstacles that cloud divine vision, and remain attuned to God's unwavering guidance.

Speaker 1:

Welcome to our time for the Word of God. Wherever you're joining us, we are blessed to have you. We will be in Daniel, chapter 2 and verse 20 and 21. Let me read Daniel answered and said Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and might are his. He changes the times and the seasons. He removes kings and raises up kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.

Speaker 1:

My interest for the moment will be on the phrase there God is in control of times and seasons. Times and seasons are in his hand. My interest is to share with you that, at the beginning of the year, most of God's people are eager and are tasked to hear the voice of God. We want to know what is God saying for us at this time, what is there, what is in store for us as we get into the year, or what is the word of the Lord for the moment. And so I use those words for seasons and times and to know that God is in control of changing seasons. And so then, what is God saying to us at the moment? What is God saying to us at the moment? And here is the word that the Lord put in my heart to share, and the word is that the Lord put in my heart to share, and the word is your season has not changed. All right, your season has not changed. If you are listening to me, I know this is a word for somebody who will be watching this telecast. God has a very specific word for you and he's saying your season has not moved yet. Your season has not changed. Now I will be speaking and sharing in relation to what God spoke to us as a ministry, what God has spoken to us as a church but this is also relevant, even if you don't belong to this, but somehow you have landed to this. God has a word for you and there's some things that I'll be teaching here so we can understand God's working and God's dealing with his people.

Speaker 1:

Now, in relation to us, we heard a powerful word that God had released to us towards the end of 2023, in December, where God spoke to us very clearly from Isaiah, chapter number 60. And our word was 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 there, which was a powerful word Arise and shine, for your light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. That was the word that we received and, of course, as we're turning this year we ran with that word the whole of last year and as we are turning the year, I begin to ask God, lord, what are you saying? What are you speaking to us? What do you have in store for us? And the voice of the Lord, the voice of the Spirit, was very, very clear in my heart, coming time and again as I waited on the Lord, that your season has not changed, your season has not changed. And God began to make me understand his workings, how he works, how his word works, and I'll be sharing with you some of the things that I saw. This will answer some of the questions. Even if you didn't receive that word, maybe you are getting it now. Maybe God spoke a word, a different word to you and your group or to your heart.

Speaker 1:

Many of us are moving around this word that we received from the Lord and we are wondering maybe we haven't seen things that we expected to see, things haven't happened as we expected them to happen, and we are confused. Was that a word from the Lord? Was that a word from the Lord? So it's important for us to get into that, and I will move into some things, but I want to share about some two important words, two important words that are used in the Bible, especially in the New Testament, the Greek words that we translate in our English Bible time. And before I get into that, I want to read our New Testament verse. So I will go to Ephesians. So go to Ephesians, chapter 5, ephesians chapter 5 and verse number 15. Ephesians 5 and verse number 15, we get some words there that we can merge in and see what the Lord is speaking to us today Ephesians 5 and verse 15 and 16 and 17.

Speaker 1:

This is what Paul says. See, then, that you walk circumspectly, not unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is, and that is usually our struggle. What's the will of the Lord? What does God want with my life? We struggle with that, you and I. We struggle with that, god, what do you want with my life? So Paul says here see that you walk circumspectly. Now that word is a little, is a big word, is a little difficult word, but it really means walk carefully, be careful the way you live, be careful the way you walk, not as a fool Now, fools, these are people who don't care, they just live their lives carelessly. But Paul says walk circumspectly, walk carefully, be careful, watch out your life, how you are living. Don't be careless. Don't walk carelessly through life.

Speaker 1:

Redeeming the time another difficult and big word. They are being used in the New King James and the King James and some older version. Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. What does he say? He says really means redeeming the time is make the most of every opportunity. You know kairos, k-a-i-r-o-s.

Speaker 1:

Now there are two, actually three Greek words in the New Testament that are used. One is chronos, all right, chronos, where we get our word chronological or chronical. And then the other one is which one is used here by Paul, kairos. And then there is a third one, which is aion. Now, I am not a Greek scholar, so I will not try to go deeper than just shallowly explain those, because the understanding of it is important, and those of you who want to dig deeper, I encourage you to go deeper beyond what I can share. Make some study of those three words kairos, chronos and eion.

Speaker 1:

But chronos, in short, is really just measurable time. That's what chronos is measurable time, like the way our watch does you know, in minutes. It can be short, it can be long. Minutes turn to hours, hours turns to days, days to weeks, weeks to months, and then months to years. That's chronological time. It's time that can measure what our watch does. It's chronological, all right. And so it is time measured quantitatively. All right, make that difference. All right, make that difference.

Speaker 1:

But when we are talking about a kairos moment, a kairos moment, this is not time in terms of a quantity or measurable time. It speaks of an opportune moment. You know, important time, something happening at a particular time, all right, so it's not about the length of time, the length of time I'm trying to slow down, I'm moving too fast here. It's not about the length of time, but it is the quality of the moment, the importance of that particular time, that particular moment. So it speaks of an opportune moment. It is things that happen for a particular time bringing certain results right. I hope I'm not getting anybody confused here. So in chronos, is quantity, in times of time, measurable time. But kairos, your Kairos moment, it is something that happens for a particular time, the quality of the time, of the moment, something that has an opportune moment, an opportune time, opportune time that you have to save, you have to get it, and that's why Paul is saying here we have to redeem time. That means we capture the moment. Don't miss your time.

Speaker 1:

Some examples that I can bring here is like when Jesus was coming into Jerusalem. If you go and read it in Luke, chapter 19, I won't go there. The Bible says he cried over the city of Jerusalem. He saw Jerusalem and he cried over it. He said if you had known, only you, what is written for you, what is said for you for your peace, but this is hidden from your eyes. And then he pronounces judgment there. He says your enemies will come and bank around you, dash you down and leave no stone on top of you. And he says something very interesting because you missed the time of your visitation. So where he says Jerusalem missed the time of his visitation, jerusalem missed the moment. That moment was prophesied, a specific time, of course. It is in Zechariah 9, verse 9, when God had already spoken through the prophet Zechariah, saying your king will come riding on a donkey. You receive him. That's the king that was prophesied for you. And then the Israelites missed the moment. The Israelites missed their Kairos moment. That's why Jesus was crying out and say oh, I wish you had known. I wish you had known this. What is written for you, what is written about you, but this is hidden from your eyes and so you have missed your time of visitation Now let me come back now to what we are talking about, that our season or your season has not changed, beloved.

Speaker 1:

We have to understand. We have to understand. God wants us to understand his working, his kairos, and his kairos is not measured in terms of length of time. All right, our seasons get this point.

Speaker 1:

The first point here now is that our seasons are not measured with our chronological time. God is not bound to the chronological time. It's not about chronos, but it's about akairos, and a kairos is a moment that comes into our lives and ashes in something very special. It ashes in something very special. It's a kairos moment. So when you received the word of God, that was a kairos that had come in. I hope you are understanding this. Okay, I will draw back again. I will use another example that has come into my heart. Maybe this will help us understand better what I am trying to explain. I will go to Mark, chapter 1. Mark, chapter 1, in verse number 15. Let me take you there Mark, chapter 1 and verse number 15. So that you understand what we are talking about these kairos, these moments, these times, these seasons. It's not about chronos, but it's a kairos moment. Mark, chapter 1, verse number 15. This is what it says. This is Jesus. I'm going to draw back from verse 14 for you to understand. Now, after John, I'm reading Mark, chapter 1, verse 14. Sometimes I'm too fast and then I feel I'm losing some people here. All right, mark 1, verse 14.

Speaker 1:

Now, after John was put in prison, jesus came to Galilee preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God and saying the time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe in the gospel. Now, you see here, this is the beginning of the ministry of Jesus Christ, the ministry of preaching and proclaiming the kingdom of God. He heard that John has been put in prison, and then he comes to Galilee and what does he announce? He says the time, the kairos, the time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God has arrived. The kingdom of God is at hand. What was Jesus doing?

Speaker 1:

Jesus was inaugurating was beginning the season of the time of the proclamation of the gospel of the kingdom of God. It was the time of the dispensation of the grace. And it tells him repent, change the way of your thinking. Change the way of your thinking. Repent is really a turnaround Change the way you are thinking Repentance is really a turnaround Change the way you are thinking and believe in the gospel, believe the good news of the kingdom, the good news that has come, the good news of salvation.

Speaker 1:

Now I wanted to see that. I wanted to see this. Jesus is talking of the time is fulfilled, the time has arrived. So this was something in the calendar, in the working of God, and when he spoke that word, he inaugurated a season. Something had changed. The Old Testament season was getting closed and a New Testament time, a time of the grace for people to get saved, for people to come into the kingdom, was getting started.

Speaker 1:

Now here is the thing that season, that moment that was inaugurated, that kairos, jesus said, is fulfilled, has not ended yet. Pausing there so that this can sink into our hearts, that sink into our heart, that it is what is happening during that kairos. It is the quality, it is the, the, the opportunity, the moment that has to be said, that people have to understand. This is the time of the grace of god, where there has been a shift in the spirit for the release of the grace of God for salvation. And that particular moment is still continuing up to today, because Kairos is not a quantity but a quality. It's not a quantity, but I call it. It's not measurable in times, it does not go with our years. Our years, oh, it's been 2,000 years. Oh, it's been five years since the Lord spoke to me. No, that's what I want to bring us to understand, because God is speaking to me and he is speaking to you, all right, god is speaking to me and he is speaking to you, all right.

Speaker 1:

So, when we received the word of God, when God said and again, I repeat, I'm talking in terms of us, but there is a word. Maybe you're not part of this ministry, but you have, there is something that you received from the Lord. So, when we that there is a season that was inaugurated in December 2023, god, god opened up, god released that word. Of course, it had been boiling in my spirit for some time, but we're able to release it in the work of God, in the ministry that God has given us, and the word was arise, shine, for your light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. There was a shift in the Spirit.

Speaker 1:

With that word that was released, with that word that was imparted to us, there was a shift already that has happened in the spirit. God was beginning a new dispensation in us, a time of blessing, a time of arising and then a time of shining that was coming into our lives. And that grace, as I was seeking the Lord, what are you saying to us? I said you don't understand. You are looking at the changing of the years, because the year has changed. You are expecting me to speak to you another word, to give you another word. No, your season has not changed, your kairos has not changed. It is a dispensation. It is a moment in the working of my spirit, in you, among you, that was ushered in and that season is still continuing.

Speaker 1:

And then God began to lead me to see some things and say, yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm like, yeah, you are right, lord, yeah, you are. It's like portals that are opening, portals that are opening to portals that are opening to understand. And he took me to Isaiah. Isaiah, chapter number 55, very familiar words, and we will go there. Isaiah 55, very familiar words which we have read sometime, but we will read them here.

Speaker 1:

Let me go to Isaiah 55 and verse 10. All right, isaiah 55 and verse number 10. All right, this is what the Lord says here, for as the rain comes down and the snow from heaven and do not return there, but water the earth and make it to bring full and to bad, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes from my mouth. It shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish what I please and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. And I was like, wow, yes, lord, you are what. So understand this. All right, understand this and write some of this truth down. You see that God's seasons don't follow our time and our calendar, that I have already explained. They don't go with our years.

Speaker 1:

And then the other thing that we have to understand with the word that you received from the Lord, if you received a word from the Lord, if God sent his word, you had it in your spirit. God spoke to you. I don't care what you had from God, as long as it is from the Lord and it bowled in your spirit. What you need to understand is what God is saying to us here in the book of Isaiah, that his word is like rain that comes down from heaven. It's like rain that comes down from heaven and that rain, or like snow that is being released during winter and falls down on the earth, it fell down on you. You received the word. That word is like rain and it says it does not return there, it doesn't go back to God. It doesn't go back to God, but it will water the earth.

Speaker 1:

It's a very important word because that talks of progression. Oh, I will come to that in our next teaching. I will come to that in our next teaching. Because I will come to that in our next teaching, because I want us to see in the next teaching how the word of God works in our lives, but for the moment. But it warms. So there's a progression. It warms the earth and it makes it to bring forth and to burn, and it makes it to bring forth and to burn, to bring forth and to burn that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater.

Speaker 1:

And then God says so shall my word be that God forth from my mouth. It shall not return to me void, but it will accomplish what I please. It will prosper in the thing for which I sent it God's word. Oh, I feel this in my spirit. I don't know who I am speaking to, I don't know who has a word of God, I don't know what you have received from the Lord. If God spoke and says my word will not return to me void, it can never go back to God empty handed void. But he says it shall accomplish that for which I please and prosper in the way for which I sent it. Hallelujah, the word of God is loaded with the power. The word of God is loaded with the power, is loaded with the power to bring to pass that for which it's said To bring to pass God's word. Whatever God says, there is power within that word to accomplish whatever he said he will do. It's the same words that the angel Gabriel spoke to Mary.

Speaker 1:

If you go and read Luke, chapter 1 and verse 37, of course, the angel was given a word from the Lord to bring to a virgin girl, mary, and he told Mary God has sent me, you have received favor from the Lord and you will conceive and bring forth a son and you shall call and he shall be the holy one of God, and continue blah, blah, blah. And Mary. Mary was wondering, mary, I say how can this be? How can that come to pass? I have a virgin, I don't know any man. He says of course, the angel told him the spirit of the Lord is the spirit will accompany, the spirit of the Lord will come upon you so that that which will be born will be called the son of God. And then he says in verse 37, in Luke, chapter one, he says for nothing shall be impossible with God, nothing shall be impossible with God, nothing shall be impossible with God.

Speaker 1:

That particular verse actually it should be the literal translation is no word of God is void of power. No word from the Lord fails. Literal translation is like that no word from the Lord will ever be able to fail. Because God has released that word to you, mary. That word from God is able to do that which he has said. And I praise God because Mary said let it be unto me.

Speaker 1:

According to that word, mary received the word of God. She believed the word of God, she embodied the word of God and said that word, I receive it. Now, here is what we are saying here, the word that was sent to us, the word that was sent to you, if you are listening to this, god has something. I don't know, I'm still keep going, but God has something that he spoke to somebody. There is a word, a specific. There's a general word for all the people, but there is also a specific word that you got. You know you had from God. You know that word was from the Lord. I wanted to understand this, my brother, I wanted to understand this, my sister.

Speaker 1:

That word kick-started, that word brought a shift in the spiritual realm. There is a shift that took place. It inaugurated a season in your life and if you haven't seen what God told you, what God spoke in your heart, what you received, what you saw, the possibilities, sometimes, like when I was preaching the word, when I was releasing the word, some people were seeing some things in their life. They were seeing. They were seeing oh, this is what God is going to do with my life, this is what God is releasing in my life, this is what is coming upon me. You were receiving that word, you were seeing some things. Now the thing is maybe, as we are talking right now, you haven't seen the fulfillment of the word and you have left wondering oh God, I know you spoke to me, I know I received. Was that from you? Was it my emotion?

Speaker 1:

I come with the word from the Lord as we begin this year and the word the Lord has put me to tell you your season has not changed your word. The word has not moved. The season has not changed. That word is still working. Reason has not changed. That word is still working. It will not, hallelujah, it will not return to God void until it has accomplished. Hear this, god says so. Shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth, forth from my mouth. It shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish what I please and it shall prosper in the things for which I sent it.

Speaker 1:

God sent his word for a reason, for a purpose, and if you haven't seen it, if it has not come to pass yet, you have to know there is something working underground, there is something going on at the moment, but God's word will not return. It will do what it says. It will bring to pass that which God had promised in your lives, hallelujah. I wish I could hear an amen there, but I know you are saying amen wherever you are, so I want to come next time as I begin to show you. Maybe you're wondering, you're asking oh, but, pastor, things that are going on, the things that are happening in my life, oh, they don't line up. They don't line up with what I heard God speak to me, they don't line up with what I heard the voice of God in my life.

Speaker 1:

Now I want to come in and begin to share with you the steps or the stages of the word of God, so that you can embrace your season, what we have read in Ephesians, chapter five, where Paul says he says walk circumspectly, walk carefully, understand, not as wise, not as fools, but as wise, you know. Redeeming the time, okay, redeeming your Kairos, seizing the moment. Don't let the enemy hit you and cause you to run, scared because of what is going on. We need wisdom, hallelujah. We need wisdom and understanding so that we can hold on to that which God has spoken and stand on the word of God and get the enemy running. Stand on the word of God and get the enemy running and put the enemy where he belongs, and so that we can see, we can begin to see the fruit budding forth. The word waters the ground and it causes us to bud and bring forth bearing fruit, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater. We want to begin to eat the bread.

Speaker 1:

But, brother and sister, there are stages in the working of God and if you are not careful, the enemy will knock you down. The enemy will say it was your emotion, that was not the word of God. The enemy will say it was your emotion, that was not the word of God. And you will let go, and so you will lose your moment. You will lose your word because you are not believing in the word. You are not believing and you missed the moment.

Speaker 1:

And what will happen? Jesus will just be crying, as he cried over Jerusalem and he said if you had known, you were Kairos. If you had understood, you were Kairos. But now it is hidden from your eyes. We want to knock off all the blinders. We want to walk with our eyes wide open, knowing what God is doing and what God wants to do in our lives. Hear the word of the Lord for you this day. Hear the word. If you are looking for a word for the beginning of the year, this is the word the Lord has put in my heart to share with you that your season has not changed. Your season has not changed your season, your kairos, your world has not changed. Just because the year has changed doesn't mean God is about to give you another one. He doesn't work like that. He don't work like that. So what is the wisdom? We'll carry on with this. God bless you. We'll see you again in our next teaching, amen.
